Welcome to the website for the project 'Parenting in the 21st Century'. The project is being led by Parenting UK (formerly known as the Parenting Education & Support Forum) in the UK and has been developed to help partners in the European Community share knowledge and expertise in practices for supporting parents.
Assisted by the Leonardo Da Vinci fund, the project aims to provide a sustainable transnational network for the exchange and development of information and materials to improve the standard of work with parents. This site is here to:
- Disseminate information on innovations in the area of vocational training and guidance in order to improve the skills and competencies of those working in the parenting education and support sector.
- Target people who work with parents, parents themselves and their families.
- Share work on National Occupational Standards and other quality work with parents.
- Provide information to improve access to continuing vocational training.
Particular attention will be paid to sharing information on what works in making the sector accessible to workers from underrepresented communities and also men.
